Background
Jose Orta, D.C., is a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician in practice since 1997. After being in private practice for 17 years, mostly in Northeast Fort Lauderdale, Dr. Orta has recently joined Total MD. His specialty is that of treating the different areas of the spine to decrease pressure on the spinal discs and nerves utilizing conservative chiropractic treatments. He uses a variety of techniques to address musculoskeletal conditions of the spine, hips, pelvis, upper and lower extremities using manual manipulation, stretching, manual traction and trigger point therapy to help his patients recover as quickly as possible.
Dr. Orta received his B.S. in nutrition in 1992 and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1996 both from Life University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Orta is a certified Backsafe and Sittingsafe instructor and trainer since 1995 from Future Industrial Technologies (F.I.T). Providing on-site employee ergonomics training designed to prevent injuries, lower the number of lost workdays and help reduce workers compensation claims and cost by preventing injuries in the workplace.
Throughout his career as a chiropractor, Dr. Orta has treated athletes at all
levels, including Olympic athletes. He was league chiropractor of the Roswell Soccer League in Georgia from 1997-1999 responsible for over 700 athletes. He has also treated patients from newborn to teens, adults, the elderly and expecting mothers. Dr. Orta is involved in his community educating the public and raising awareness on the benefits of spinal health and good posture.
