Background
Anthony Aquino, D.C., is a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician in practice since 1985. Dr Aquino recently joined Total MD after 27 years of private practice in North Lauderdale, Florida. He specializes in the conservative treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, particularly of the spine through chiropractic manipulation and joint mobilization, as well as, manual therapies including myofascial release, stretching, manual traction and lymphatic drainage to reduce tissue congestion to improve rate of recovery and reduce nerve root and
intervertebral disc pressure.
Dr. Aquino completed his undergraduate studies at Florida State University and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta, Georgia in 1985. He has been an active member of the Florida Chiropractic Association since 1986. He has been certified to perform Manipulation Under Anesthesia since 1993, and has post-graduate education in Whiplash and Spinal Trauma. Additionally, Dr. Aquino is certified as an Expert Medical Advisor for the Division of Workers Compensation.
In his twenty-seven years of service to the community, Dr. Aquino has performed physicals, treated sports injuries for many Broward County high schools, and has participated in community education to raise awareness of the importance of spinal health care.
