Background

Michael P. Calandrillo is a Physical Therapist originally from Brooklyn, NY. Michael attended Old Westbury College earning his undergraduate B.S. degree in Psychology where he was awarded presidentialist for academic excellence. Michael graduated in 1999 from the prestigious physical therapy program at Hogeschool van Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where he earned an equivalent Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy, graduating with honors.

In addition to the extensive experience in his field, Michael has had the opportunity to treat post-surgical professional athletes such as NFL players, Dalvin Cook, and Stacy Coley from the Minnesota Vikings, and the 2012 gold medalist for doubles tennis, Bob Bryan.

Prior to joining Total MD, Michael was in private practice for over 10 years in Delray Beach, FL. He takes great pride in treating the South Florida community. He has a genuine passion for the field of Physical Therapy and as a result stays up to date with the latest developments by attending courses all over the USA.

As a result of his European education, Michael specializes in manual therapy techniques. He has studied under Dr. James Dunning with the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy, earning his certification in spinal manipulative therapy in 2010. He is also a practitioner of Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.), Graston and cupping.

When Michael is not in the clinic, he enjoys boating, traveling, hiking and exploring new restaurants and most of all spending time with his friends, family and two dogs.
